Pegasus Horseriding Endurance Trails and Adventures
At Pegasus we provide a unique opportunity for experienced riders, a ride of amazing variety, visiting Bush, Dunes and Surf while experiencing great Australian Hospitality.
All our horses are especially bred and trained for Endurance competitions, some of these rides can cover 400 Klm over 5 days, so can easily match the demands of Pegasus Horseback Endurance Trails and Adventures
Each of our rides while based on bush, dunes and beach, will take you on a unique tour each day.
On the way you will pass old convict built roads and World War 2 Tank Traps lying in the sand. There is the opportunity to view the unique fishing village situated in a very isolated area, which is a rarely seen by the general public.
Whilst on this ride you will pass ancient aboriginal Pipi middens, fresh water lakes situated in the dunes, as well as the daily uncovering of a fossilised forest underneath the dunes, which are uncovered by the daily seabreeze. Then you will be back into the bush again for an adventurous ride back to the homestead.
The
water track takes you through fresh water lakes situated in the forest
that is a breathtaking experience as only your horse knows the water level.
Once again this track will take you onto the sand dunes. These dunes are
the largest shifting landmass in Australia, which offers magnificent
views of the bush and the beach.
On arrival you may take a quick swim before returning to the homestead
or continue on to the Anna Bay tavern for a hearty meal, and a refreshing
ale.
All instructors are competent horse people who both enjoy regular Top Ten State and National rankings in the Australian Sport of Endurance and have a genuine love of the Australian Landscape. You need to be an experienced rider and able to demonstrate a sound riding ability.
Maximum ride groups are 6. Rides can be as short as 2 hours or as long as 5 days. For overnight stays we are able to offer you the choice of camping on the beach or staying in our recently built self-contained villas.
Other options for horseriding pleasure are horse back B.B.Q rides in which you venture up to the local vineyard to sample some of the local produce, beach campout rides, sunrise, sunset and moonlight horse rides.
